Thank you vey much for the suggestion :) I'll incorporate teh feature as I have the counter already.
As for the likeness of other ZX81 games. I'm quite new to the ZX81 - I only recently acquired one, so I practically haven't played any games on it. But I think you have a good point.
Personally I wanted to challenge myself to make something in Z80, so I found an excellent tutorial from Dr. Beep, that taught me how to read input, make timers, manage the displayfile etc. I made this game as a tribute to Dr. Beep and his tutorial - but I might suspect, that other have been inspired by the same tutorial also :)

Pretty cool ;)
The game is over 1K in .P so it does not work on a 1K machine.
You're absolutely right! I'll change the description while I try to reduce the memory foot print
:D
I saw the video on youtube.
What I missed is when it is game over, like a counter that reaches the number of missed barrels.
Now in 1K you will quickly have some kind of ressemblence in games so this comes close to 2 of my games: 1K hires Ghost Hunt and 1K lowres HRLBS

Well then it is only fair to mention that ZX81CODER here is the one and only DR BEEP.
You can check it on the games I mentioned.
If you have a question just ask.
Best place is on SINCLAIRZXWORLD since I am there more often than here.
To make a game fit 1K you could always skip the intro and mention how to play the game in a manual
(or in a tape inlay as it was done back then)

Cool! Nice to meet you and thank you for both tip and and tutorial :)
Maybe you have an ingame shot please
I've added a few more screenshots, but with the limitations of the ZX81, it's not super impressive graphics :)
